Hi – did you apply/register to the 2020 Boston Marathon yet? I bet you can finish it in under 2 hours and place first in handcycle women’s division. Registration is ongoing. Race is April 20, 2020. See you there.
Oh! I didn’t know about Handcycle being allowed in Boston! And there was only one female athlete in 2018?
I would love to do it in a racing wheelchair, but would need a qualifying time first!
Hi, Elizabeth,
Bellow is an article from my blog http://www.paradenik.cz. I´m sorry for my English. Have a nice day!
“I met Elisabeth a year ago. She calmed me before the race in Louny, let me not be so nervous. It was my first EHC race. In the spring of Barcelona we’ve hosted Moravian wine and we had a good time. Although we spoke Czech and Slovak more than her native English. He understood especially with Zdenek, both have acting talent, so the language barrier went away. She stopped again at our refreshment station this year in Louny . A meeting of different worlds, sharing experiences and telling humorous events ( humorous events are typical events for wheelchairusers), – it is the most beautiful in the handbike races. Sure, it’s nice to win, overcomes oneself, but it is a moment that quickly wears off. For me it is important not to spoil my life by pointless rivalry. When you exchange it for the friendship, you will walk away from the race much more. Elizabeth is next case of long-lived handbikočka. (kočka=cat=pretty woman in Czech)”
Katerina
I’m privileged to have met you Katerina! You are doing so well in such a short time in hand cycling. Totally agree with your point of view and have enormous respect and admiration for my fellow competitors who are also friends x
